The 2023 Domaine Bernard Baudry Chinon Le Domaine is a classic Loire Valley red made from 100% Cabernet Franc. The nose is fresh and expressive, showing raspberry, red cherry and dark berries alongside violet, herbs, pepper and subtle graphite notes. Limestone-rich soils bring a distinctive mineral freshness to the wine.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and dry with lively acidity, fine tannins and crunchy red fruit. Fermentation takes place in concrete, followed by around 15 months of ageing in concrete and older wooden vats, preserving freshness while adding gentle structure and savoury depth.
