The 2023 Château de la Tour Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Cuvée Classique is an exceptional Pinot Noir from the historic Clos Vougeot Grand Cru in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Produced by Château de la Tour, the only estate to vinify and mature its wines within the Clos itself, this cuvée reflects the character of one of Burgundy's most iconic walled vineyards. The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry and blackberry, layered with violet, subtle spice and earthy undertones.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity and impressive concentration. Flavours of dark berries, forest floor, liquorice and gentle oak unfold with remarkable balance, while the estate's use of whole-bunch fermentation contributes added freshness, structure and aromatic complexity. The finish is long, savoury and mineral-driven, promising excellent development with time in the cellar.

Enjoy with roast duck, beef Wellington, venison or wild mushroom dishes. While approachable with careful decanting, it is best cellared and will continue to evolve beautifully through 2032–2048.
