The 2023 Bruno Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru En Remilly is an exceptionally rare and mineral-driven Chardonnay from one of the most distinctive Premier Cru sites in Chassagne-Montrachet. En Remilly covers only around 1.56 hectares and is shared by just six growers, with Bruno Colin farming a small 0.46-hectare parcel planted in 1960 and 1989. Positioned high on the slope directly beside the legendary Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, the vineyard’s limestone-rich soils produce a particularly precise and energetic expression of white Burgundy.
On the palate, it is refined and beautifully concentrated, showing fresh citrus, white peach, apple and delicate floral notes alongside subtle herbs and a fine stony character. Creamy texture is balanced by vibrant acidity and pronounced limestone minerality, creating impressive tension and definition. The wine is matured for 12 months in 350-litre oak barrels, with only 15–20% new oak, followed by a further 4–6 months in stainless steel, leading to a long, elegant and mineral-driven finish.
