The 2022 Yangarra Estate Ironheart Shiraz Magnum (1500ml) is a flagship 100% Shiraz from Yangarra’s single vineyard in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale. Grown on elevated, sandy ironstone soils, it shows blackberry, dark cherry and plum with violet, black pepper, savoury spice and distinctive ironstone mineral notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated and structured, with bright acidity, fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. Wild fermentation with 25% whole bunches is followed by 19 months in French and Austrian oak, building depth while retaining freshness and definition.
