The 2022 Nashdale Lane Colour Series Shiraz is a cool-climate Shiraz from the high-altitude vineyards of Orange, New South Wales. Grown on basalt soils between 860 and 900 metres above sea level, it offers a refined expression of the variety with lifted aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and blueberry, complemented by notes of cracked black pepper, violet and subtle earthy spice.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with vibrant natural acidity, fine-grained tannins and a smooth, velvety texture. Flavours of ripe plum, mulberry and dark berries are balanced by gentle spice, light oak influence and a savoury mineral edge, leading to a long, fresh finish. The cool climate delivers excellent balance and purity, making the wine approachable now while offering cellaring potential over the next 6–8 years.
