The 2022 E. Guigal Château d’Ampuis is a powerful Côte-Rôtie made from 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, sourced from seven exceptional vineyards across the Côte Brune and Côte Blonde. The nose shows blackberry, black cherry and plum with violet, pepper, liquorice, graphite and subtle smoky notes.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit and refined, structured tannins. Ageing for 38 months in new oak adds spice and depth while supporting a long, mineral finish.

At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Côte-Rôtie drinkers who enjoy powerful Syrah with dark fruit, spice and fine tannins. Best with some cellaring, with potential to develop for around 20 years or longer. Ideal with roast lamb, duck, game, grilled beef or mature cheeses.
