Hand-harvested from two hectares of vines that are 45-50 years old, and wild-fermented in stainless steel. The 2020 Vouvray Sec Clos Cartaud is bottled relatively early to capture the fresh fruit aromas and freshness. There’s clay-limestone on the site, and the clay component gives the easy roundness in this wine. Fine, bright freshness on the finish makes your mouth water. Drinking well already despite its youth.
