The 2022 Domaine Dugat-Py Monthélie Très Vieilles Vignes is a beautifully expressive Pinot Noir from the Monthélie appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. Crafted by Domaine Dugat-Py from organically farmed old vines rooted in gravelly limestone, red clay and marl soils, this wine combines the concentration of ancient vineyards with the elegance and freshness that define the village. The nose reveals aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry and blackberry, layered with violet, forest floor and subtle baking spice.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Flavours of ripe red berries, plum and gentle earthy notes are supported by careful oak maturation, creating a balanced wine with impressive depth and a long, mineral-driven finish.
