The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Baulet is a vibrant and structured expression of Pinot Noir, made from the estate’s 0.3-hectare parcel that was returned to Domaine des Lambrays in 2022, after being sold for a generation. This small plot, part of the domaine's history, features deep brown conglomerate rock formed during the ice age.
The wine is marked by fine aromatics, with floral, spicy notes of sweet red cherries and raspberry, along with hints of cinnamon and garrigue. It combines good density with delicacy, showing excellent focus, balance, and precision. The tannins are powerful yet controlled, creating a wine with great aging potential. More serious and focused than its ethereal counterpart, Clos Baulet, the 2022 vintage reflects the estate's pedigree and promise for the future.
