The 2022 Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is a powerful yet remarkably precise expression of one of Chablis’ most celebrated Grand Cru vineyards. Christian Moreau owns an exceptional 3-hectare contiguous parcel stretching from near the bottom almost to the top of the south-facing Les Clos slope. The parcel is divided into three sections that are vinified separately before blending, allowing the finished wine to capture several dimensions of this famous terroir. The vines average approximately 50–60 years of age, rooted in extremely rocky Kimmeridgian limestone and dense white clay. The domaine regarded 2022 as an excellent vintage, combining healthy ripeness with enough acidity to retain a distinctly classical Chablis character.
