The 2021 Cantina del Pino Barbaresco 'Gallina' is a superb single-vineyard 100% Nebbiolo from the celebrated Gallina MGA in Neive, one of Barbaresco's most prestigious crus. Planted on limestone marl and silty soils, the vineyard produces wines of exceptional elegance and structure. Matured for 24 months in large oak casks followed by extended bottle ageing, the wine opens with beautifully perfumed aromas of wild cherry, black plum and raspberry layered with rose petals, sweet spice, tobacco and crushed stone. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with silky yet firm tannins, vibrant acidity and remarkable precision.
