The 2020 Massolino Barolo Vigna Rionda Etichetta Nera Riserva is a rare Nebbiolo from the celebrated Vigna Rionda cru in Serralunga d’Alba. Only the second Etichetta Nera produced after the 2016 vintage, it shows an expressive nose of crushed cherry, dried rose and lavender, with bay leaf, sweet spice and subtle mineral notes.
On the palate, it is refined and structured with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins and concentrated red fruit. Extended ageing in large oak barrels and bottle brings depth while preserving the perfume and character of Nebbiolo, leading to a long, elegant and savoury finish.
