The 2019 Two Wolves Petit Verdot is a bold and expressive red from Santa Barbara County, crafted from organically farmed estate fruit by Two Wolves, the boutique winery founded by Alecia Moore (P!nk). The cool 2019 vintage produced a wine of exceptional aromatic intensity, opening with notes of blackberry, dark plum and violet, alongside hints of smoky herbs, clove, citrus peel and earthy minerality.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and beautifully structured, with concentrated dark fruit flavours, firm yet polished tannins and refreshing acidity. Layers of cocoa, spice and crushed stone add complexity, leading to a long, powerful finish with excellent balance. While approachable with decanting, this Petit Verdot has the structure to reward extended cellaring.
Ben’s Recommendation: At Wine More Cellars, this is a fantastic choice for lovers of bold, structured reds with depth and personality. Rich, complex and built to age, it drinks beautifully now with a decant or can be cellared for 8–12 years. Perfect with grilled ribeye, slow-cooked beef, lamb, venison or aged hard cheeses.
