The 2019 Glenguin Vineyard Shiraz is a beautifully balanced Hunter Valley Shiraz sourced predominantly from the estate’s Schoolhouse Block in the Broke Fordwich sub-region. Grown on deep gravel-over-clay soils and farmed using sustainable, low-intervention practices, the wine is hand-picked, partially whole-bunch fermented and matured in neutral French oak. The warm, dry 2019 vintage delivered exceptional fruit concentration while retaining the freshness and savoury character that define great Hunter Shiraz.
The nose reveals blackberry, dark cherry and plum alongside notes of cracked pepper, clove and subtle earthy spice. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, combining vibrant red and black fruit with fine tannins and bright acidity. Hints of graphite and savoury complexity add depth, while the finish is long, polished and effortlessly balanced.
