The 2019 Babich Individual Vineyard Organic Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced Marlborough Pinot Noir crafted from the organically certified Headwaters Vineyard in the Wairau Valley. This single-vineyard wine offers fragrant aromas of black cherry, plum and violet, complemented by hints of cedar, liquorice and subtle savoury herbs, reflecting both its organic viticulture and cool-climate origin.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with silky tannins, bright natural acidity and layered flavours of dark cherry, morello cherry and ripe plum. Gentle oak maturation adds notes of nutmeg and spice, while the wine finishes smooth, persistent and finely textured with a touch of earthy complexity.
