The 2023 Blain-Gagnard Le Montrachet Grand Cru is an exceptionally rare Chardonnay from one of Burgundy’s most celebrated vineyards. Founded in 1980 through the marriage of Jean-Marc Blain and Claudine Gagnard, Domaine Blain-Gagnard draws on the Gagnard family’s longstanding roots in Chassagne-Montrachet.
The domaine’s tiny Montrachet holding comprises just 13 rows, covering approximately 0.08 hectares. Inherited in 1999, this parcel typically yields only one or two barrels each vintage, making the wine a particularly scarce expression of this prestigious Grand Cru.
