The winery is based in the province of Avellino, where vineyards are spread across some of the region's most prestigious appellations, including Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Greco di Tufo DOCG, and Taurasi DOCG. High-altitude vineyards, volcanic soils, limestone, and clay create ideal conditions for producing wines with remarkable freshness, complexity, and ageing potential.
Villa Raiano is particularly celebrated for its Fiano di Avellino, one of Italy's finest white wines. The wines display aromas of citrus, white peach, pear, acacia flowers, hazelnut, and delicate mineral notes, with vibrant acidity and impressive texture. The estate also produces outstanding Greco di Tufo, characterised by crisp citrus fruit, stone fruit, floral aromas, and distinctive minerality, alongside age-worthy Taurasi crafted from the indigenous Aglianico grape, offering flavours of black cherry, plum, tobacco, leather, spice, and firm, refined tannins.
The estate follows a philosophy centred on expressing individual vineyard sites while respecting the region's traditions. Sustainable farming, hand harvesting, careful parcel selection, and minimal intervention in the winery ensure each wine reflects its unique terroir and vintage conditions.
