TOMMASI
Founded in 1902, Tommasi is one of the most respected names in Italian wine, renowned for both its historic roots in Valpolicella Classica and its expansion into other prestigious Italian regions. What began as a small family-run vineyard in Pedemonte has grown over four generations into a leading wine group, yet still remains firmly family-owned and operated.
At the heart of Tommasi’s reputation is their mastery of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, crafted from carefully hand-harvested Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. Using the traditional appassimento method—where grapes are dried on racks for months before fermentation—the family produces Amarone wines celebrated for their richness, elegance, and remarkable aging potential. Alongside Amarone, Tommasi is also acclaimed for Valpolicella Ripasso, Recioto, and other regional specialties.
Over time, the Tommasi family has expanded beyond Veneto, creating Tommasi Family Estates, a collection of properties across Italy that reflect the country’s diverse terroirs. Today, the portfolio includes vineyards in Montalcino (Casisano), Maremma (Poggio al Tufo), Basilicata (Paternoster, famed for Aglianico del Vulture), and Oltrepò Pavese (Caseo, specializing in sparkling wines). This network allows Tommasi to showcase both tradition and innovation, while preserving the identity of each region.
With more than a century of dedication, Tommasi represents authenticity, quality, and family values. Their wines are widely recognized on the international stage, embodying a balance of craftsmanship, elegance, and approachability that appeals to both collectors and everyday wine lovers.
