TERRE A TERRE

Terre à Terre is a premium Australian wine estate known for producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines from carefully selected vineyard sites in South Australia. The winery was founded by Xavier Bizot (who comes from the extended Bollinger Champagne family) and Lucy Croser (daughter of noted Australian winemaker Brian Croser), combining French winemaking sensibilities with Australian viticultural potential.

Terre à Terre’s operations centre on two key regions: the Crayères Vineyard in Wrattonbully on the Limestone Coast — a high-density, limestone-rich site producing elegant and structured Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz — and vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley of the Adelaide Hills. The name Terre à Terre, meaning “down to earth” in French, reflects the estate’s philosophy of minimal intervention and respect for terroir.

The winery’s portfolio includes standout wines such as the Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, praised for its expressive fruit, minerality and ageing potential; Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blends that combine French finesse with classic Australian richness; and age-worthy reserve bottlings that showcase both power and elegance. Terre à Terre wines have earned critical acclaim and awards in Australia and abroad for their concentration, texture and balance.

In addition to the Terre à Terre range, the team also produces DAOSA traditional-method sparkling wines from Piccadilly Valley fruit, further showcasing their commitment to quality across styles and regions.
