The 2024 TWR Gewürztraminer SV 5182 is an intensely aromatic single-vineyard Gewürztraminer from Te Whare Ra in Marlborough, crafted from some of the oldest producing Gewürztraminer vines in the region. Grown on organically and biodynamically farmed estate vineyards, this wine highlights the remarkable concentration and complexity that mature vines can deliver. The nose is highly expressive, revealing aromas of lychee, ripe orange, rose petal and exotic florals, alongside hints of clove, ginger and fragrant spice.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a luscious texture balanced by refreshing acidity. Flavours of lychee, quince and ripe citrus unfold across a richly layered palate, complemented by notes of ginger, orange oil and exotic spice. A small amount of residual sweetness enhances the wine’s texture and fruit concentration, while maintaining balance and freshness. The finish is long, soft and persistent, with lingering floral, spice and orchard fruit notes.
