SUAVIA

Suavia is a highly regarded family-run winery situated in the hilly Soave Classico region of Veneto, northeastern Italy. Founded in 1982 by Giovanni and Rosetta Tessari, the estate continues a family tradition of viticulture that dates back to the 19th century. Today, the winery is led by their daughters, including winemaker Valentina Tessari, who carries forward the family’s dedication to crafting expressive white wines that embody the character of their volcanic terroir. The vineyards, covering about 30 hectares around the village of Fittà, are perched on steep slopes formed by ancient volcanic activity, giving the wines their signature mineral complexity and freshness.

Suavia focuses exclusively on native white grape varieties — Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave — producing wines that are pure expressions of the Soave Classico landscape. The range includes the Soave Classico DOC, known for its clean, fresh balance; Monte Carbonare Soave Classico DOC, a single-vineyard wine with smoky, mineral notes; and Massifitti IGT, a refined 100% Trebbiano di Soave that showcases the depth of volcanic soils. Other standout labels include Le Rive Bianco, a sophisticated Garganega bottling; Opera Semplice Metodo Classico, a traditional-method sparkling wine; and Recioto di Soave, a luscious dessert wine made from late-harvested grapes.

The philosophy at Suavia revolves around respect for nature and the expression of terroir. The Tessari sisters embrace sustainable, organic farming methods and minimal-intervention winemaking to preserve the natural qualities of the fruit. The combination of high-altitude vineyards, volcanic soils, and thoughtful craftsmanship results in wines of precision, purity, and longevity. Suavia stands as a benchmark for modern Soave — elegant, mineral-driven, and deeply connected to its volcanic origins.
