SIMON COLIN

Simon Colin is a young, highly regarded winemaker and domaine in Burgundy, France, carrying forward a long family tradition of quality viticulture in the Côte de Beaune — especially around Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Rully.

Simon Colin is part of the Colin winemaking dynasty — the son of Philippe Colin and nephew of Bruno Colin — and represents the newest generation of this historic Burgundy family. He began producing wine under his own name as early as 2017, initially sourcing fruit from several regional vineyards, and formally took over about 9 ha of his father’s vineyards starting with the 2021 vintage.

His approach blends respect for Burgundian tradition with thoughtful, modern techniques: he favors expressing terroir through careful use of lees, moderate sulfur, and aging in used barrels to minimize oak influence, and is transitioning his holdings to organic viticulture with biodynamic influences where feasible.

The portfolio from Domaine Simon Colin includes regional Burgundies, village-level wines, and increasingly Premier Cru bottlings, particularly Chassagne-Montrachet whites and reds that are gaining attention for their precision, purity, and energy.

Although still early in his career, Simon Colin’s wines are highly anticipated by collectors and critics alike, and he’s widely viewed as one of Burgundy’s most exciting emerging producers.
