SAINT JULIEN

Saint-Julien is one of the most prestigious appellations on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, located within the Médoc region. Though relatively small in size, it is renowned for producing some of the most consistently high-quality wines in Bordeaux, with a strong concentration of classified growth estates.

The region benefits from a temperate maritime climate influenced by the Gironde estuary, which helps regulate temperatures and protect vineyards from extreme weather. Its well-drained gravel soils are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, allowing for optimal ripening and contributing to wines with structure, depth, and finesse.

Saint-Julien wines are typically blends dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, often complemented by Merlot and smaller amounts of Petit Verdot or Cabernet Franc.
