The 2023 Domaine des Croix Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is a striking and highly sought-after white Burgundy from David Croix, whose tiny holdings in Le Charlemagne produce one of the hidden gems of the appellation. Sourced from just 0.25 hectares of organically farmed Chardonnay on the upper slopes of Corton, the wine comes from white marl soils and benefits from both west- and north-facing exposures, delivering exceptional mineral precision and freshness. Part of the wine is matured in WineGlobe vessels, enhancing purity and tension.
The nose reveals lemon zest, white peach and citrus blossom with hints of mango, pineapple and hazelnut. The palate is powerful yet remarkably linear, combining concentrated orchard fruit with chalky minerality, vibrant acidity and a saline edge. Richly textured but beautifully focused, it finishes long, energetic and intensely mineral.

A serious Grand Cru Chardonnay that perfectly balances richness and precision. Ideal with lobster, scallops, turbot, roast chicken with morels or aged Comté. Drink from 2027 onwards or cellar confidently through 2042+ as it develops greater complexity and depth.
