The 2023 Domaine Antoine Jobard Pommard is a beautifully crafted village-level Burgundy sourced from mature vineyards in Les Petits Noizons, La Rue au Porc and Les Combes. Since taking over these organically farmed Pommard vineyards in 2019, Antoine Jobard has quickly established a reputation for producing elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir that balances classic Pommard structure with remarkable finesse and drinkability.
The nose reveals red cherry, raspberry and brambly berry fruit layered with subtle earth, spice and floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and silky with fine tannins, bright acidity and flavours of red currant, strawberry and gentle forest-floor complexity. The finish is harmonious and refined, with a touch of savoury spice and dark chocolate emerging as the wine opens.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A stylish and approachable Pommard that showcases Antoine Jobard’s elegant touch. Perfect with duck, roast chicken, pork loin, mushroom dishes or soft washed-rind cheeses. Enjoy from 2027 onwards or cellar comfortably through 2038+ for added complexity and savoury depth.
