The 2021 vintage began with wet conditions in winter that then led into a dry and warm summer period. which set the vines up well leading into harvest. The final ripening period continued to be dry and conditions were ideal for steady ripening and flavour development. The fruit was in great condi tion at picking and had excellent flavours and aromas.
A beautifully composed, medium-weight wine with impressive succulence, complexity, integrity and length. The hand-picked grapes come from the Post Office block, where vine age spans from 30 to more than 100 years. Blueberry and cherry flavours with savoury tones of cedar and forest floor. It needs time to open, so decant a few hours before serving to showcase the wine at its best. - 95 points, Toni Paterson
