PESSAC LEOGNAN

Pessac-Léognan is a prestigious wine appellation located in the Graves region of Bordeaux, France. Established as a separate AOC in 1987, it is widely recognized for producing both high-quality red and white wines, making it one of the most versatile and respected regions in Bordeaux.

The region benefits from a maritime climate influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, with mild temperatures and consistent conditions that support balanced grape ripening. Its distinctive gravelly soils, mixed with sand and clay, provide excellent drainage and heat retention, which are ideal for cultivating classic Bordeaux varietals.

Pessac-Léognan is known for its red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, offering structure, elegance, and aging potential, often with notes of dark fruit, tobacco, and spice. The region is equally renowned for its white wines, crafted from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, producing fresh, aromatic wines with minerality and complexity.
