Domaine Michel Mallard is a respected family-owned winery based in Ladoix-Serrigny, at the northern gateway to the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, France. With several generations of winemaking heritage, the Mallard family has built an outstanding reputation for producing elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from some of Burgundy's most distinguished village and Grand Cru vineyards. Today, the estate continues to combine traditional Burgundian craftsmanship with meticulous vineyard management to create wines of precision, balance, and exceptional ageing potential.
The domaine farms approximately 11 hectares of vineyards across some of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations, including Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton, Corton Grand Cru, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, and neighbouring Côte de Beaune villages. These historic vineyards feature limestone-rich soils and ideal east-facing slopes, while the cool continental climate allows for slow, even ripening that preserves freshness, structure, and aromatic complexity.
Michel Mallard is best known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, particularly its highly regarded Corton Grand Cru and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru bottlings. The Pinot Noirs display aromas of red cherry, blackberry, violet, forest floor, spice, and subtle earthy complexity, supported by refined tannins and vibrant acidity. The Chardonnays offer layers of citrus, white peach, hazelnut, flint, and mineral tension, delivering remarkable elegance, depth, and longevity. Winemaking remains firmly rooted in Burgundian tradition. Grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted before gentle fermentation.
