Mengoba is a highly regarded boutique winery located in the Bierzo region of northwestern Spain, known for producing elegant and terroir-driven wines from old vineyards. Bierzo benefits from a mix of Atlantic and continental influences, creating a cooler climate compared to many Spanish wine regions. Slate and clay soils, combined with high-altitude vineyards and old vines, allow grapes to develop freshness, complexity, and strong mineral character.

Mengoba is particularly known for Mencía and Godello, producing wines that are refined, vibrant, and expressive. The red wines typically show red berry fruit, violet, herbs, spice, and earthy notes with fine tannins and freshness, while the white wines display citrus, stone fruit, floral aromatics, and mineral tension.
