Linear Wines is an independent Australian wine producer founded in 2018 by winemaker Nathan Brown, based in the Canberra wine region. Known for its precise, expressive and food-friendly wines, Linear works with carefully selected vineyards across Canberra District, Tumbarumba, Hilltops and Gundagai, showcasing the diversity of southern New South Wales' cool-climate terroirs.

Before entering the wine industry, Nathan Brown spent more than a decade as a chef and restaurateur, running Canberra's acclaimed Pulp Kitchen. His transition into winemaking began at Collector Wines in Murrumbateman, followed by formal studies in wine science at Charles Sturt University. This culinary background continues to influence his approach, with a strong emphasis on balance, texture and wines that complement food.

Linear's philosophy centres on the relationship between vineyard, season and winemaking. Rather than imposing a fixed style, Nathan works closely with growers to identify distinctive vineyard parcels and adapt his winemaking decisions to the character of each vintage.

The portfolio includes Tumbarumba Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Grüner Veltliner and Gewürztraminer, alongside Hilltops Fiano, Grenache, Shiraz and Tempranillo, and Gundagai Sangiovese. Each wine highlights the influence of its regional origins, from Tumbarumba's elevated, cool-climate vineyards to the generous yet balanced reds of Hilltops and Gundagai.

In the winery, Nathan favours thoughtful fermentation, gentle extraction and carefully managed oak maturation, preserving the natural freshness and individuality of the fruit. The resulting wines combine aromatic purity, refined structure and an approachable, contemporary Australian character.
