Le Ragose is one of the most respected family-owned wineries in the Valpolicella region of Veneto, Italy. Founded in the 1960s by Arnaldo Galli and now managed by the Galli family, the estate has earned a reputation for producing traditional, terroir-driven wines that showcase the elegance and longevity of Valpolicella’s finest vineyard sites.

Located in the hills above Negrar, the heart of the Valpolicella Classica zone, Le Ragose farms vineyards situated at higher elevations than many neighbouring estates. These hillside sites benefit from excellent sun exposure, cooling breezes, and limestone-rich soils, creating ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, structure, and complexity.

Le Ragose is particularly renowned for Amarone della Valpolicella, crafted using the traditional appassimento method in which grapes are carefully dried before fermentation to concentrate flavour and texture. The wines typically display aromas of black cherry, dried plum, fig, spice, cocoa, tobacco, and Mediterranean herbs. Rich and powerful on the palate, they are balanced by vibrant acidity and refined tannins, offering remarkable ageing potential.

The estate also produces outstanding Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Ripasso, and Recioto della Valpolicella. These wines showcase the traditional grape varieties of the region, including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, delivering elegance, depth, and regional authenticity.
