Laura Lardy is an emerging independent winemaker from Beaujolais, France, celebrated for producing elegant, terroir-driven Gamay from the prestigious appellations of Morgon and Fleurie. Coming from a family with deep roots in Beaujolais viticulture, Laura established her own domaine in 2017, bringing a fresh perspective to the region's historic vineyards.

Based in the village of Fleurie, Laura works with carefully selected parcels of mature Gamay vines, focusing on organic farming practices, healthy soils and minimal-intervention winemaking. Her philosophy centres on preserving the purity of the fruit while allowing the distinctive geological characteristics of each vineyard to emerge naturally.

The granite-rich soils of Fleurie produce wines renowned for their floral aromatics, delicate red fruit and silky tannins. By contrast, the more complex soils of Morgon, particularly those associated with the celebrated Côte du Py, contribute greater structure, mineral depth and ageing potential.

Laura's winemaking approach emphasises hand harvesting, indigenous fermentation, gentle extraction and restrained oak maturation. Traditional Beaujolais fermentation techniques, including whole-cluster and semi-carbonic maceration, help preserve the vibrant aromatics and natural freshness of Gamay.

Her portfolio includes distinctive expressions such as Morgon Côte du Py, Fleurie Les Côtes and Fleurie La Vivier, each highlighting the individuality of its vineyard origins. The wines typically display bright cherry, raspberry, violet and subtle spice, supported by fine tannins and refreshing acidity.
