Kamptal is one of Austria’s most important and respected wine regions, located northwest of Vienna. Named after the Kamp River, the region is known for producing high-quality white wines with clarity, structure, and strong terroir expression.

Kamptal benefits from a unique climate influenced by warm Pannonian air from the east and cooler winds from the Waldviertel in the north. Kamptal is best known for Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Grüner Veltliner from Kamptal is typically fresh and expressive, with notes of green apple, citrus, and white pepper, while Riesling offers precision, minerality, and flavors of stone fruit and citrus.
