Based in the village of Piesport along the Mosel River, the winery farms outstanding vineyards including parcels in the legendary Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Wintricher Ohligsberg, and other historic slate sites. The Mosel's steep, south-facing vineyards feature ancient Devonian blue slate soils that absorb and radiate heat, allowing Riesling to ripen slowly while preserving vibrant acidity and remarkable aromatic purity. The cool continental climate and dramatic slopes produce wines celebrated for their elegance, precision, and longevity.

Julian Haart is best known for dry Riesling (Trocken), Kabinett, Spätlese, and Grosses Gewächs-style wines, alongside small quantities of Spätburgunder. The Rieslings display expressive aromas of lime, green apple, white peach, jasmine, crushed slate, and citrus blossom, supported by laser-like acidity, pronounced minerality, and exceptional balance. The estate follows a meticulous vineyard-first philosophy. Grapes are harvested entirely by hand from the steep slate slopes, with careful selection ensuring only the highest-quality fruit reaches the winery. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts, and the wines are matured slowly in traditional Mosel Fuder oak casks and stainless steel to preserve freshness and faithfully express each vineyard's unique character. Minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar allows the terroir to remain the central focus.
