Jean Foillard is one of the most celebrated names in Beaujolais, based in the village of Morgon and a key figure among the 'Gang of Four' natural winemakers who helped revive interest in the region's terroir-driven Gamay. Foillard's vineyards are concentrated on the Côte du Py, a hill of decomposed blue volcanic rock that gives his Morgon wines their signature depth, structure, and ageing potential, alongside cuvées from Fleurie and the lighter Morgon Corcelette site. Made with minimal intervention and little to no added sulphur, the wines are vibrant, energetic, and capable of surprising longevity for Beaujolais.
