Immel is a modern Rheinhessen wine project rooted in one of Germany’s most historic winegrowing families. Based in Westhofen, the estate draws on a family history dating back to 1754 and combines traditional vineyard heritage with a contemporary approach to organic viticulture and winemaking.

Located in the limestone-rich hills of southern Rheinhessen, Immel benefits from some of Germany’s most highly regarded vineyard landscapes. The region’s combination of warm conditions, rolling hills, and diverse soils provides ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, precision, and strong terroir expression.

The project is led by Georg Rieser in collaboration with the Wittmann family, one of Rheinhessen’s most respected winegrowing names. Organic farming lies at the heart of the estate’s philosophy, with all vineyard work focused on sustainability and preserving the health of the land for future generations.

Immel is particularly renowned for its Riesling, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). The Rieslings typically display aromas of lime, green apple, white peach, and mineral notes, while the Chardonnay combines citrus, stone fruit, texture, and freshness. Across the range, the wines are characterised by purity, balance, and a clear sense of origin.

The winemaking approach balances regional tradition with modern craftsmanship. Influences from renowned estates such as Wittmann and Domaine Dagueneau have helped shape a style focused on authenticity, precision, and vineyard expression.
