GóMEZ CRUZADO
Gómez Cruzado is one of the historic wineries of Haro, the heart of Rioja Alta in Spain, with origins dating back to 1886. Located in the famous Barrio de la Estación, the district known for housing some of Rioja’s most prestigious wineries, Gómez Cruzado has built a reputation for producing elegant, terroir-focused Rioja wines.
The winery sources fruit from carefully selected vineyards across Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, focusing primarily on Tempranillo, along with traditional Rioja varieties such as Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. These cooler high-altitude vineyards contribute freshness, structure and aromatic complexity to the wines.
Gómez Cruzado is known for crafting Rioja in a refined, modern style that still respects traditional ageing methods, often maturing wines in French and American oak to achieve balance and complexity.
Today the winery is widely regarded as one of the benchmark producers of Rioja, combining historic heritage with contemporary winemaking precision.
