Font du Vent is a highly regarded family-owned estate located in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of France’s Southern Rhône Valley. Owned and managed by the Gonnet family, whose winemaking heritage in the region dates back generations, the estate has built a strong reputation for producing authentic wines that reflect the distinctive character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir.
The vineyards are situated on the appellation’s famous galets roulés (rounded stones), along with clay, limestone, and sandy soils that contribute complexity, concentration, and balance to the wines. Combined with the warm Mediterranean climate and the influence of the Mistral wind, these conditions create an ideal environment for cultivating traditional Rhône grape varieties.
Font du Vent is particularly renowned for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, crafted primarily from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and other permitted Rhône varieties. The red wines typically display aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, liquorice, garrigue, pepper, and spice.
