Founded in 1991 by Joan and Walt Flowers, the winery helped establish the remote Fort Ross–Seaview region as one of the world's great terroirs for Burgundian varieties. The estate farms exceptional vineyard sites perched high above the Pacific Ocean in the Fort Ross–Seaview AVA, where elevations of up to 600 metres rise above the coastal fog. The combination of cool maritime temperatures, strong ocean breezes, long growing seasons, and rocky sandstone soils allows grapes to ripen slowly while retaining remarkable freshness, natural acidity, and aromatic complexity. Alongside its estate vineyards, Flowers also works with a carefully selected network of outstanding growers throughout the Sonoma Coast.

Flowers is internationally acclaimed for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, producing both appellation and single-vineyard bottlings. The Chardonnay offers layers of lemon citrus, white peach, nectarine, flint, and subtle French oak with vibrant acidity and mineral precision. Pinot Noir displays aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, rose petals, forest floor, and baking spice, supported by silky tannins, fine structure, and impressive ageing potential.
