Peter Graham established Domenica after many years of experience working in some of Australia’s most prestigious wineries, including Mount Mary and Castagna. The vineyards sit on ancient decomposed granite soils, a defining feature of the Beechworth region that contributes to the wines’ minerality, finesse, and natural acidity. Domenica focuses on varieties that thrive in this environment, particularly Chardonnay, Nebbiolo, Shiraz, and Roussanne.
In the winery, a minimal-intervention approach is used to preserve the character of the fruit and the vineyard site.
