DOMAINE XAVIER MONNOT

Domaine Xavier Monnot is a highly regarded estate located in Meursault, at the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. The domaine is known for producing elegant, terroir-driven wines that reflect the purity and precision of Burgundy’s great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards.

Xavier Monnot represents the sixth generation of his family to cultivate vines in Meursault. After taking over in the early 2000s, he brought renewed energy and modern techniques to the estate, focusing on vineyard health, lower yields, and meticulous attention to detail both in the vineyard and the cellar. His winemaking philosophy combines respect for tradition with modern precision, resulting in wines that are vibrant, balanced, and expressive of their origins.

The domaine covers approximately 17 hectares of vineyards across Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Volnay, and Beaune, producing both white and red Burgundies. The whites, predominantly from Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, are known for their tension, minerality, and refined oak integration, showcasing a pure expression of Chardonnay. The reds, from appellations like Volnay and Pommard, display supple textures, bright fruit, and finely woven tannins.
