DOMAINE ROSSIGNOL-FEVRIER PERE & FILS

Domaine Rossignol-Février Père & Fils is a respected, family-run estate based in Volnay, in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. With roots tracing back to the 1920s, the domaine has been passed down through several generations, with Frédéric Rossignol now representing the fifth generation of the family, often working alongside his son. Over nearly a century, the Rossignol family has built a reputation for crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines that reflect the unique soils and microclimates of Burgundy.

The estate covers about 7.5 hectares of vineyards spread across notable appellations such as Volnay, Pommard, Meursault, and Beaune. Since the late 2000s, the domaine has fully embraced biodynamic farming and is Demeter-certified, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainability and natural vineyard expression. The vines are hand-tended and harvested, and the winemaking philosophy focuses on minimal intervention—allowing the purity of fruit and the individuality of each parcel to shine through.

Domaine Rossignol-Février is best known for its Pinot Noir, producing a range of wines that include Volnay Vieilles Vignes, Volnay Premier Cru, Pommard, and Bourgogne Rouge. The domaine also crafts a limited amount of white Burgundy. Their wines are characterized by finesse, balance, and a precise expression of terroir, often displaying bright red fruit, lively acidity, and fine, silky tannins. These attributes make them versatile food companions, pairing beautifully with dishes such as poultry, veal, and game.

Across vintages, the wines from Domaine Rossignol-Février Père & Fils consistently demonstrate a harmony of tradition and modern sensibility—combining the depth and authenticity of old vines with the vitality and purity that biodynamic practices bring to the glass.
