Domaine Nicole Lamarche is one of Burgundy's most prestigious family estates, internationally recognised for producing exceptional Pinot Noir from some of the Côte de Nuits' most celebrated vineyards. The estate farms approximately five hectares of exceptional vineyards centred around Vosne-Romanée, including the legendary La Grande Rue Grand Cru, one of only a handful of monopole Grand Crus in Burgundy. Its outstanding holdings also include Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, Échézeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots, Les Chaumes, and village-level Vosne-Romanée. These prestigious limestone and clay vineyards consistently produce wines of remarkable precision, aromatic complexity, and exceptional ageing potential.

Nicole Lamarche has transformed the estate through meticulous organic farming and the incorporation of biodynamic principles. Organic viticulture has been practised since 2007, with horse ploughing used in the famed La Grande Rue vineyard to minimise soil compaction and encourage healthy vine ecosystems. Low yields, hand harvesting, and rigorous fruit selection ensure every wine reflects the individuality of its terroir.

In the cellar, Domaine Nicole Lamarche follows a philosophy of precision and restraint. Indigenous yeast fermentations, gentle extraction, moderate whole-bunch inclusion where appropriate, gravity-fed handling, and carefully judged French oak maturation preserve purity rather than power. Limited new oak allows the delicate perfume and silky texture that define Vosne-Romanée to shine through, producing wines celebrated for their transparency and elegance.

The wines display classic Vosne-Romanée aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, rose petals, violets, Asian spice, sandalwood, forest floor, and subtle earthy complexity. They combine silky tannins, vibrant acidity, extraordinary finesse, and remarkable mineral precision, developing even greater complexity with extended cellaring. La Grande Rue, in particular, is regarded as one of Burgundy's most refined Grand Crus, often mentioned alongside the neighbouring vineyards of La Tâche, La Romanée, and Romanée-Conti.
