Located near Cambremer in the Pays d'Auge appellation, the estate cultivates its own traditional high-stem apple orchards, where historic apple varieties are carefully preserved for their depth of flavour rather than high yields. The cool maritime climate, fertile soils, and gentle rolling countryside provide ideal conditions for producing apples of exceptional aromatic intensity. Every bottle is made exclusively from fruit grown on the estate, ensuring complete traceability and an authentic expression of Normandy.
Domaine du Manoir de Montreuil is best known for its AOC Calvados Pays d'Auge, crafted using traditional double distillation and patiently matured in French oak casks. The range includes youthful expressions alongside rare vintage bottlings aged for decades. The Calvados displays aromas of baked apple, pear, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, dried fruit, spice, and subtle floral notes, combining richness with remarkable elegance and complexity.
The estate also produces outstanding AOP Pays d'Auge Cider and Pommeau de Normandie. The cider offers fresh apple aromas, lively acidity, gentle tannins, and delicate natural sweetness, while the Pommeau combines freshly pressed apple juice with young Calvados before ageing in oak, creating a beautifully balanced aperitif with notes of baked apple, honey, dried apricot, spice, and vanilla.
