Founded by Maurice Combier and now led by the next generation of the family, the estate farms vineyards across Crozes-Hermitage using certified organic practices. The region’s diverse soils of rolled pebbles, clay, limestone, and alluvial deposits, combined with a continental climate, provide ideal conditions for cultivating Syrah and producing wines of purity, balance, and complexity.
Domaine Combier is particularly renowned for its Crozes-Hermitage reds made from 100% Syrah. These wines typically display aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet, cracked pepper, olive tapenade, and spice, supported by fine tannins and vibrant freshness. The estate’s flagship cuvée, Clos des Grives, is regarded as one of the appellation’s finest wines, offering remarkable depth, structure, and ageing potential.
