Dicey is a family-owned winery in Central Otago, New Zealand, founded by brothers James and Matt Dicey after decades of experience at some of the region's most respected estates. Established in 2020, the label reflects the brothers' deep connection to Central Otago, combining minimal-intervention winemaking with organically farmed vineyards to produce wines of exceptional purity, precision, and regional character.

The estate sources fruit from organically managed vineyards in Bannockburn and Cromwell Basin, two of Central Otago's most celebrated subregions. A continental climate, abundant sunshine, cool nights, and free-draining schist soils provide ideal conditions for slow, even ripening, allowing the wines to retain vibrant acidity while developing remarkable concentration and complexity.

Dicey is best known for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris, with each wine crafted to express its vineyard origin rather than a predetermined house style. The Pinot Noir displays aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, plum, dried herbs, thyme, and spice, supported by silky tannins and fine mineral structure. Chardonnay offers citrus, white peach, hazelnut, and flinty minerality with restrained oak, while Pinot Gris combines pear, apple, white flowers, and refreshing acidity in a textured, dry style.

The winery follows a low-intervention philosophy from vineyard to bottle. Organic farming, hand harvesting, indigenous yeast fermentation, minimal additions, and thoughtful oak maturation allow each vintage to speak clearly of its site. The brothers favour balance and elegance over power, producing wines that are vibrant, food-friendly, and capable of ageing gracefully.
