Delas Frères is one of the Rhône Valley’s historic and respected producers, with a legacy dating back to 1835. Based in Tournon-sur-Rhône, the house has built its reputation on crafting refined, terroir-driven wines, particularly from the prestigious appellations of the Northern Rhône. Under the ownership of the Roederer Group since 1993, Delas has undergone major revitalisation, culminating in the opening of a state-of-the-art winery in Tain-l’Hermitage in 2019. This renewed investment has strengthened Delas’s commitment to quality, precision and authenticity while preserving its traditional winemaking heritage.

Delas owns about 30 hectares of highly prized vineyards across the Northern Rhône, including outstanding parcels in Hermitage such as Les Bessards, Les Grandes Vignes and l’Hermite. The estate also produces notable wines from Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, supported by long-term partnerships with top growers throughout both the Northern and Southern Rhône. Their philosophy is centred on expressing the individuality of each terroir: careful vineyard management, low yields, full destemming, gentle extraction, and minimal intervention all contribute to wines that are pure, elegant and deeply mineral.

In the cellar, the focus remains on clarity of fruit and precision. Fermentations are carefully managed, sulphur use is restrained, and top cuvées are bottled without fining or filtration to preserve natural texture and complexity. The winemaking team, led by Jacques Grange and Claire Darnaud, has elevated the estate’s single-vineyard bottlings, which are now recognised among the Rhône’s finest expressions. Iconic wines such as Hermitage Les Bessards, Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes, Crozes-Hermitage Le Clos and Saint-Joseph Sainte-Épine showcase Delas’s ability to balance power, finesse and structure, making them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
