CHATEAU RAUZAN SEGLA
Château Rauzan-Ségla is one of the most celebrated Deuxième Cru Classé (Second Growth) estates from the 1855 Classification of Margaux, renowned for producing wines that combine power, precision, and sensual elegance — hallmarks of the appellation at its finest.
Founded in the 17th century by Pierre de Rauzan, the estate has long been synonymous with quality and prestige, once counted among Bordeaux’s most admired properties. Today, under the ownership of the Chanel Group (since 1994), Château Rauzan-Ségla has undergone a complete renaissance. Extensive vineyard renewal, state-of-the-art facilities, and the guidance of technical director Nicolas Audebert have elevated the estate to stand alongside the very best of Margaux.
Its 70 hectares of vineyards are planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The gravelly, well-drained soils yield wines of great depth and aromatic complexity.
In style, Rauzan-Ségla is distinguished by its refined structure, floral perfume, and layered fruit, showing classic Margaux grace wrapped in modern precision. The wines reveal blackberry, cassis, violet, and graphite notes, with a silky texture and remarkable aging potential.
