CHATEAU LA TOUR DE MONS
Château La Tour de Mons is a historic Margaux estate, within the prestigious Médoc region of Bordeaux. With origins dating back to the 15th century, the château is named after its iconic medieval tower and has long been recognized for producing wines that capture the refinement, balance, and charm typical of Margaux.
The vineyard spans around 48 hectares, planted primarily to Merlot, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and a small proportion of Petit Verdot. This composition contributes to wines that are supple and fragrant, with silky tannins, ripe fruit, and floral overtones that reflect the appellation’s elegance.
After extensive restoration and investment under the Crédit Agricole Grands Crus group, Château La Tour de Mons has undergone significant modernization in both vineyard management and winemaking. The estate practices sustainable viticulture and employs precision winemaking to enhance terroir expression and consistency across vintages.
The resulting wines are classically styled Margaux, offering excellent value within the appellation — approachable in youth yet capable of graceful aging. They display hallmark notes of blackcurrant, violet, and subtle cedar, wrapped in a finely textured structure.
