2023 Domaine Michel Niellon Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Clos De La Maltroie'

A ripe but agreeably fresh and layered nose reflects notes of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and a suggestion of rosemary oil. The punchy and delicious, if not especially dense, flavors also conclude in a clean, dry and refreshing finale. This could use better depth so a few years of cellaring should prove to be beneficial.
